(read more) She was part of the flotilla in the Normandy invasion in WWII, (known as an 83 footer by the Coast Guard), starred in a John Wayne movie "High and the Mighty." She was the first of the two white Coast Guard Cutters leaving the dock when they were off to rescue a plane.She is a work in progress, but much has been done. The owners have been rebuilding her from start to finish for several years. This boat has great bones, no leaks, and has been coated with fiberglass on the hull.
